Listen to the podcast to find about health benefits of Pawpaw.
Pawpaws are proving to be a very promising herb for use in human health. Dr. Jerry McLaughlin, a pharmacognosist, has been working seriously with pawpaws since 1950. He has identified about 30 biologically active compounds from pawpaw tissues. These compounds are referred to as annonaceous acetogenins and are long-chain fatty acid molecules. McLaughlin’s research has documented acetogenins’ ability to enter into tumor cells and stop energy production, which eventually kills the tumor cells.
